Antique 19th Century Victorian solid silver hot water kettle on stand, heavy and impressive, pear-form body chased with rustic scenes of peasants merry-making, in the style of the Dutch painter David Teniers. The lid mounted with a figural finial of a drunken peasants sitting on barrels. The kettle is clearly inspired by the tea services made by Edward Farrell in the early 19th century.
