Antique 19thC Silver Spinner Wax Seal Fob English 7 Days of The Week CW #T279

  
This is an antique spinning and multi-sided wax seal matrix fob. Each of the 7 panels has a different day of the week on it along with the initials CW. CW was probably the owner of the seal so that anyone getting the letter with whatever day of the week it was sent on would know that for instance Charles Watson sent the letter. No maker's or metal marks etc. This is silver with a really fabulous chip carved foliage design as you find on snake split rings that hold numerous fob seals etc on pocket watch chains of the period. In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear.

No damage from what I can see. Please see pictures for more details and visual confirmation of condition. 34mm in total length including the suspension loop. A great addition to any serious Fob Seal collectors cabinet.

Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter. In the title or description it means. Condition which may have scuffs, scratches and damage.
