Not issued by the army or navy. One container is larger than the other with the smaller container having a loose bottom to push the product up the SOAP STICK towards the opening. The tubes are plain in design but all pieces are hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 with maker's mark W. Maker is William Vale & Sons. Comes in their original case with green silk and velvet interior.
In collectable condition with normal signs of age and use wear. There area few small dints in the silverware and some surface scuffs. These have been polished and the hallmarks are slightly worn. The exterior of the black leather case is worn. P lease see all pictures provided for more details and visual confirmation of condition. The larger container measures approx. 4 inches long and 1 inch dia and it weighs 35.1g. The smaller container measures approx. 2 and 3/4 inches long and it is 1 and an 1/8th inch wide and it weighs 32.8g. The leather case they are in is 5 and 3/8ths inch long x 3 and 7/8ths inch wide x 1 and 1/2 inch deep. This box and contents could still be used now by someone for their travel SHAVING BRUSH & SOAP STICK and be a little bit different with an authentic antique set. Scale is usually an English 1 penny coin which is 20mm in diameter which is just short of 7/8ths of an inch in diameter.In the title or description it means.
