1897 Solid Silver Propelling Pencil Yellow Stone Seal Top. Beautifully hand chased with Foliate design.

The yellow paste stone is faceted to the base, creating beautiful geometric shapes in the light. Glass was often used a citrine imitation in these pencils. Full English Silver Hallmarks for William Vale & Sons. Open cartouche & the seal has not been engraved, perfect for personalising, should you wish.

Still has some lead inside. A lovely pencil in very good pre-loved and used condition. Some minor flea bite nibbles to the edges of the glass seal, seen using 10x loupe.

Length open: 12.6cm (5). Body width: 0.7cm (1/4).

Seal diameter: 1.3cm (1/2). This piece is already in circulation meaning no new silver has been used. The ultimate in sustainable shopping. All of my items are carefully and lovingly selected by myself.
