VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER MOUNT CARTOUCHE AND Faux BLONDE TORTOISE SHELL CARD CASE. This is a Victorian Solid Silver Mount and Faux Blonde Tortoise Shell Card Case, this i believe to be c1880 making it around 138 years old, this is the most Beautiful Victorian Blonde Tortoise Shell Card Case, the Faux Blonde Tortoise Shell has Beautiful Shades of Colours to both Sides, on the top of the Card Case is a Blank Rectangle Solid Silver Cartouche which would be ideal for Engraving. There is a Solid Silver push Button to the side that opens the lid to the Card Case, when opened it reveals the Material to the inside of the Lid and the inside of the Case, this would have protected the calling Card when placed inside, the hinge is secure and the Lid closes with a nice clicking sound and closes securely, this would have been owned and used by a Wealthy Person in the Victorian Period, when times were very different to today, condition is good with just an old small repair near the Hinge and little wear to Faux tortoise Shell to the top Corner and also to the bottom side and light surface scratches, and is only mentioned for accuracy and is quite normal for the age of this Antique, the Colours on this Card Case are really Beautiful and this would add something special to any collection.
