This is an early 20. Century silver combination vesta, sovereign and cigarette case.Hallmarked inside the lid for Birmingham 1897, it has a gilded interior with a tight fitting vesta section with striker to the lid, a sprung sovereign holder and a cigarette section with original elastic. The case measures 84mm by 61mm and weighs 112g. All closures are good and tight, the springs are good, and the case has no inscriptions or initials.
I have not cleaned the inside for fear of damaging the excellent gilding. There are a couple of tiny bruises to the corner where the short elastic retainer is (photographed when open, it closes perfectly), and the rear of the case has some tiny marks as though kept with coins or similar, otherwise condition is excellent.FEEDBACK: We will be pleased to return feedback when you have received the item and are happy with it.
