LOVELY VICTORIAN SOLID SILVER MOTHER OF PEARL NAVETTE SHAPE SNUFF BOX. This is a Stunning fine quality Victorian Solid Silver & Mother of Pearl Navette Shape Snuff Box, This Beautiful Snuff Box was crafted by the highly sought after Hanau Silversmith.

And imported into London by Berthold Muller, Circa 1895 making it over 120 years old, the quality is stunning, the hinged top has the most beautiful mother of pearl mount and this is repeated on the base, the mother of pearl to the base has the most beautiful engraved decoration with a dotted border, the top is smooth and creates the most beautiful effect, to the body of the Navette shape snuff box it has a smooth finish contrasting beautifully with the mother of pearl, this has a timeless elegant , on opening the hinged lid you will see its in lovely original condition and the hinge is in wonderful condition. He quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this would have once belonged to a wealthy Victorian family and sat pride of place on there table, this was many many years ago when times were so very different, if this snuff box could talk i can just imagine what fascinating stories it could tell, this snuff box is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel. This will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice. This has hallmarks to the lid.

It is in wonderful condition. All Antique silver items will show some signs of wear, which only adds to the history of the object.....
