English antique sterling silver box with a glorious enamel scene to the lids top showing Huntsmen with there hounds galloping over the English countryside. Hallmarked from Birmingham in 1890 with the makers mark being that of Howard James. Suitable as a snuff box or vesta case, side situated striker for matches on one side. Family crest engraved to base which we have not researched. Couple of very small dinks on base and a small nibble from enamel near left hand bottom corner (very minimal). Measures 5.1 x 3.4 x 1.1cm or 51x34x11mm.
