BEAUTIFUL RARE VICTORIAN faux BLONDE TORTOISESHELL NEEDLE CASE MODELLED AS A GEORGIAN KNIFE BOX. This is a very Beautiful Rare Victorian faux Blonde Tortoiseshell Needle Case which was crafted circa 1840 making it nearly 180 years old, this wonderful Neeedle case has been unusually modelled in the form of a Georgian Knife Box and displays a vacant silver cartouche on the cover.

The hinged cover also opens up to reveal a velvet lined interior with seven divisions so that the different sizes of needle could be stored. The faux Blonde Tortoiseshell is stunning with its wonderful rich browns that contrast beautifully with the faux Blonde shell, which makes this box so very pretty, it has a push button to the front to release the clasp, once open the hinge is in lovely condition and the interior is original and is in excellent condition. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb , this would have once belonged to a Lady in the Victorian period and been used daily, this was many many years ago when times were so very different, if this Casket could talk i bet it would have some fascinating stories to tell, it is so very tactile and once held it has the most wonderful feel. This will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice. All Antique silver items will show some signs of wear, which only adds to the history of the object.....
