Samuel Kirk , they were Assayed in the United States c1900 making them around 119 years old. This kind of Victorian Candlestick is very rare to find, the detailing as you would expect is Stunning, each candlestick is crafted in Sterling silver starting at the bottom you will see they have a Squared raised base which has a wonderful Scrolled Patterns and Ribbons, which then raises up the Stem with 4 Square Sections with the same Beautiful Scroll Design, both candlesticks dont have any weighted base and are very sturdy and Stand firmly, they stand just over 9 inches in height, and weigh 385.9 grams of Sterling Silver and not weighted, the quality of the craftsmanship is superb, these would have once belonged to a very wealthy Victorian family and would have sat proudly on any table, they would have been used daily in a time when things were so very different, they are hallmarked to the bottom edging, these are an extremely rare form of Victorian Candlesticks and one you wont find very often on the market, they would look absolutely breath taking being used today. They are so very tactile and once picked up have the most wonderful feel, they are in Beautiful condition with just light surface marks, this will add something very special to any collection my photos dont do them justice.
