RARE FINE QUALITY VICTORIAN GILT BRONZE NAPOLEON I SEALING WAX DESK SEAL. This is Rare Fine Quality Victorian Napoleon I Gilt Bronze Sealing Wax Desk Seal with Carnelian Mounted Seal, crafted circa 1870 making it nearly 150 years old, The detailing to Napoleon is so very fine, from his expressive face, his stance with folded arms, even the his uniform is stunning from his fringe shoulder. Epaulettes, detailed button waist coat and his jacket, you will also see finely cast order of the cross pinned to his side, he is standing proudly upon a circular plinth which has the Carnelian Seal underneath. The quality of the craftsmanship is superb, this would have once belonged to a wealthy Victorian Gentleman and been used daily to seal his letters, many years ago when times were so very different.

It is so very tactile and once picked up has the most wonderful feel, this will add something very special to any collection, my photos dont do it justice.
