Description: An outstanding Antique English Victorian solid sterling silver large circular shaped table monteith fruit punch bowl which is beautifully decorated with a band of fluting to the body with a blank cartouche to the centre within a foliate scroll shaped cartouche. The top border rim its decorated with a cherubs mask heads and scrolls. The punch bowl is raised upon a circular shaped pedestal base with a fluted border.

It's made of an excellent thick gauge of solid sterling silver and has an excellent weight. It's of impressive quality, which has a very sought after decorated shaped body. This fabulous example is from the Victorian era and is of 136 years of age. A wonderful clean example which would look wonderful on your dining table or collection. Maker & Date Hallmark: Maker unknown.

Date hallmark 1883 and assay hallmark London. Measurements: Height 16 cm, Diameter across top 23 cm and base 12.7 cm. There are no dents, splits, holes, knocks or repairs. Just some light surface ding marks but nothing major or anything which is to noticeable just whats to be expected with age and use. The body and base is perfectly in shape and stands well with no wobble. The chrubs and scroll shaped border has no issues or repairs. The interior is in excellent clean condition with no funny marks from use. The body is not engraved with any presentation inscriptions, initials, monograms or family crest marks. Comes with an empty cartouche which is very rare to find. The hallmarks to the underneath of the base are readable just have some slight wear. I cant find the makers mark so thats unknown. Holds up 4.5 pints with no leaks, holes or repairs.

The embossed decoration is in great clean condition with no wear. An excellent clean Victorian example of such wonderful high quality which is either ready to be used or would make a fine addition to your collection.
