Antique Victorian Repousse STERLING SILVER Postage Stamp Case Wax Paper Pages

  
The case has an ornate Repousse design on both sides. It has a fancy script monogram GGH on one side.

3 3/4" by 1 1/2" and has a book of waxed paper pages on the interior. Some of the pages are torn and tattered as pictured. On the inside of the case it is personalized for George G Higbee Burlington, Iowa.

I did a quick search on the former owner and he graduated in 1901 from Harvard and was president of Murray Iron Works. The case is marked for Sterling on the side and the pin clasp holds tight. This antique stamp case is in very good condition for age. The only fault is the torn pages as previously mentioned.
