An unusual antique brass / yellow metal vesta; modelled in 3d as the Commedia dell'arte character Mr. Punch or Pulcinella, with a hinge lid and striker to its base. A very collectable Victorian match safe! CONDITION : All original and generally good. Some signs of wear commensurate with age & having been used. DIMENSIONS : 59 mm tall, base 39 x 22 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
