Antique Georgian Sterling Silver Chamberstick Candle Holder. Up for sale is the Georgian. Sterling silver chamberstick candle holder, dated early 19. The chamberstick with an ergonomic handle fit for the index and thumb fingers features three components, including a gadrooned pan for wax dripping, a candle holder in baluster form with a removable gadrooned bobeche on top for candle holding, and a chained conical snuffer for flame being extinguished. All three components are hallmarked with a combination of marks, including Maker's mark as Sc, Y, representing likely the silversmith S. Notably, some marks are rubbed and not easily recognized.
All three components are also marked with monograms in artistic calligraphy, adding beauty to the chamberstick. 4 ¼ wide (widest parts to the handle) x 2 ¼ high x 3 ½ pan diameter; Weight, 3.8 oz. Condition: Good, with some dents to the lower edges of the bobeche and the snuffer, and to the sides of the candle holder, without hurting its beauty.
