Here is an antique Victorian / Edwardian card case with lovely diamond shapes on the back and front the thin metal between makes it look like lead glass window, and the metal would probably test as silver. Push the front button to open the lid. There is some writing on the inside top rim, maybe the old price of 13/- shillings? I don't know what it means. It is in good condition with.
Minor age and use wear to exterior. There is a tiny bit of the interior edging missing on the thin part of the lid, and there is a bit of'play' at the hinge. The hinge has been glued back in.The red lining material is pushed up on the interior of the lid. See close up, enlarged pictures for more details and condition.
